Inside the Temple

Shoin Jodan-no-ma

In the past, this room was used to be a special guest room for dignitaries. Recently, this room is used for important religious ceremonies. The walls are covered with gold leaf, and one section has wooden carved flowers adorning the ceiling. On the right hand side of the room, there are small sliding doors with tassels. Behind these small doors there is another room, which is called ‘Musha-kakushi-no-ma’, that is just for the guards.
